KJS welcomes papers that are original and previously unpublished. Papers already published in any book or academic journals will not be accepted for review. It is also considered unethical for authors to submit papers under review in any other journal. Once accepted for review, papers will normally be sent to three anonymous reviewers. The KJS editorial board will also avoid any possibility of sending papers to the author's colleagues, research groups, academic advisor and dissertation committees, and PhD cohorts. Reviewers' evaluations are crucial in determining the publication of the manuscript. It should be noted, however, that the editorial board reserves the right to make the final decision. Authors may suggest potential reviewers or request exclusion of specific individuals as referees. But reasons why someone should be included or excluded need to be clearly indicated, and KJS reserves the right to decline the authors' requests.

Upon submission, KJS shall have the primary right of publishing the submitted paper. It should also be noted that KJS may make published articles electronically accessible via the KJS website. For each paper accepted for publication, the author(s) must pay a certain contribution fee. As of 2008, the fee is \300,000 for funded papers and \200,000 for unfunded papers. The authors whose papers are accepted for publication will receive three copies of KJS via mail from the editorial board. While KJS does not provide offprint services for accepted papers, individual authors can order offprints from the Seoul National University Press (www.snupress.com).
